100 Introduction to Flower Arranging

Description: In this two hour seminar you create a beautiful arrangement, learn care and handling techniques, the elements and principles of design and basic flower arranging. In addition, you will learn more about our other course offerings at the Houston School of Floral Design.
This fee will include your flowers, filler flowers, greenery, vase, tape, flower food and use of tools. You will take home an arrangement from the class!
The Introduction to Flower Arranging Class is not required to take our other classes.

Angela's DESIGN OF THE MONTH Classes are designed for beginners, but are
challenging enough to be enjoyed by experienced designers. Each fun
and informative class focuses on one floral concept.
As you create a beautiful arrangement, you will learn care & handling
techniques, the elements and principles of design and basic flower
arranging skills.
Pick and choose you favorite classes. Each month we will be creating
a new arrangement. The $59 price includes all supplies needed for
each project. You will take home an arrangement from each class.
Each two hour class is conveniently offered three times (one weekday
morning, one weekday evening and one Saturday morning). Come to the
class that is convenient for you.
Angela Henry is the Director and Primary Instructor at the Houston
School of Floral Design. In her 20+ years in the industry she has
worked in flower shops, wholesalers, grocery stores and has served as
an instructor with the school since 2008. Angie is a Texas Master
Florist.

Description:
This course covers the basic principles of design for contemporary, classic and geometric floral arranging. We will be identifying and working with fresh cut flowers and foliage.

| ADVANCED ARRANGEMENT SEMINAR |
104 Advanced Arrangement Seminar
Duration: 4 Session / 2.5 Hours Each (10 Hours Total)

Description:
The Advanced Arrangement Seminar will include interpretative design styles influenced by garden trellises and arbors. Students will also learn to design European hand-tied bouquets, the most popular style of arranging flowers in Europe. Romantic tablescapes for entertaining will also be instructed. The Advanced Arrangement Seminar is designed to teach students advanced floral design styles. Students who complete this seminar will be versed in new trends in floral design.
